NEW BRIGHTON

A quaint seaside village located between the Pacific Ocean and Brunswick River estuary. New Brighton is only a 30 minute drive from Gold Coast/Coolangatta airport and 90 minutes from Brisbane Airport. Once you arrive you are only a 15 minute drive to Temple Byron where Ganagaji and Eli are holding the core retreats.

Traditionally a holiday destination to the “family beach house” in the 1950’s, and remains largely unspoiled today boasting pristine surfing and fishing beaches and waterways, fringed by coastal rainforest reserves.

The good old fashioned General Store has been the mainstay of the village since the early days, and the attached café the social epicentre for that chat over coffee or a meal.

There is a shopping centre with a large supermarket in Ocean Shores and there are more restaurants and groovy cafés in Brunswick Heads which is the home of one of the best ice-cream parlours in New South Wales. Both these towns are only a few kilometres away from New Brighton.

Play Golf? The lush fairways and pristine greens set against a background of bushland and sparkling lakes make Ocean Shores Country Club’s golf course one of the most spectacular in Australia.

The local Farmers Market happens every Tuesday down at the oval.  There’s also a cycleway linking neighbouring centres of Ocean Shores and South Golden Beach. An eclectic mix of retro and contemporary style homes give our seaside village its unique atmosphere, character and appeal.

SUFFOLK PARK

Situated just south of Cape Byron, Suffolk Park is only 9kms south of Temple Byron where Eli and Gangaji will hold their 14 Day Core Retreat.

Suffolk Park has dominion over Tallow Beach, which stretches 15km from Cape Byron to Broken Head and has a range of accommodation, from the caravan park on the beach to motels and holiday houses.

Staying here you will be delighted with the beach and the flat walks through to Taylors Lake, which is alive with water-birds.

The locals are protective of their environment and social amenity. It’s predominantly a residential area with no nightlife except the pub, so it’s the perfect location away from the busyness and nightlife that Byron Bay offers.

A small shopping centre services Suffolk Park with a small supermarket, post office, liquor store, pub, newsagent, bakery, pharmacy and a couple of restaurants and take-aways. There’s also a doctors’ surgery in the main street.

ACCOMMODATION

The team at Byron Beach Realty will assist you in choosing the perfect holiday rental in Suffolk Park.

They offer holiday rentals that start at $500 per week for a 2 bedroom apartment that sleeps 4 people.

A 3 bedroom apartment/house can be rented from $800 per week.

As this is a seaside town, many holiday rentals are very close to the beach. Subsequently rental rates increase for beachfront or close to beach properties.
